Well this was interesting.
It appears the usually anti-firearm 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that the ban/restriction on high capacity magazines in California were in violation of the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.
Xavier Becerra, California’s attorney general, stated they would not appeal the ruling citing that a stay issued in 2017 by the court still remains in effect. Nine states including the District of Columbia have similar laws on the books. I think if and when the all clear is given that ownership is now indeed “legal” that a lot of magazines will come out of long-term storage.
Companies are already shipping magazines to California at this time.
Yes, I know some hate the idea but I even have some factory Gen 1 “legal” 10 round magazines if I ever found myself in a limited state.
